Scientific picnic for children
Scientific picnic for children evacuated from dangerous and temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The event took place at the initiative of the Council of Young Scientists of the Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University for immigrant children from other regions of Ukraine and the surrounding regions.
The purpose of the scientific picnic is to improve the interactive and psycho-emotional state of children, develop science and instill national patriotic values. The event was attended by vice-rector for scientific work, professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences Andriy Samila, and the person responsible for the event, Doctor of Philosophy, associate professor, acting Head of the Council of Young Scientists of ChNU, Iryna Horokholinska.
The event took place on the sports grounds of the Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University. Scientists from all faculties of the university joined him.
In particular, the Faculty of Physical Culture and Human Health was represented by three departments. Representatives of the department of theory and methods of physical education and sports, namely the head of the department, candidate of psychological sciences, associate professor Ihor Nakonechny, candidate of sciences in physical education and sports, associate professor Yaroslav Galan, candidate of sciences in physical education and sports, associate professor, deputy dean for scientific work and international relations Larisa Balatska and students of the specialty “Physical culture and sport” presented their scientific developments, prepared various sports games, master classes, presentations for children.
In particular, the Faculty of Physical Culture and Human Health was represented by three departments. As part of the scientific project “Innovative model of implementation and formation of children’s patriotism by means of Olympic education”, children had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the fairy tale “Olympic Dream”, which describes the path of becoming a Ukrainian athlete-champion, compete in Olympic puzzles, show their abilities while playing olympic quest
Thanks to this, the children were able to immerse themselves in a competitive atmosphere, demonstrate their own erudition and sports training, and feel the team spirit of support, which is no less important for them in this difficult time. Today, scientific activity plays an important role in improving the country’s situation, because children are our scientific progressive future.

After the event, the children received commemorative gifts from representatives of the “Physical Culture and Sports” specialty.
