“With Ukraine in the Heart” event for children from Gurtkiv

On June 29, the “With Ukraine in the Heart” event was held in the Chernivtsi City Palace of Children and Youth for members of the institution’s clubs.
The event is timed to the Constitution Day of Ukraine.

The event was held at the initiative of the institution’s administration and with the assistance of the Public Organization “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE” as part of the scientific project “Innovative model of implementation and formation of children’s patriotism by means of Olympic education”.

The event began with a moment of silence. All participants performed the National Anthem of Ukraine.
The event was attended by Alla Klymenko, director of the Chernivtsi City Palace of Children and Youth, psychologist Olena Platonova, cultural organizer Ulyana Melnychuk, master of sports of Ukraine in artistic gymnastics, student of the specialty “Physical Culture and Sports” at the Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University, Yuliya Hrushka, candidate of sciences from of physical education and sports, associate professor Svitlana Duditska, master of sports in orienteering Andriy Slobozhaninov, candidate of sciences in physical education and sports, associate professor, member of the executive committee of the Olympic Academy of Ukraine Yaroslav Galan.

Yaroslav Galan told the participants of the event about the importance of physical culture and sports, physical activity, their positive impact on health and life in general, told about nationwide patriotic values, introduced the residents of Gurtkov with interesting information about Olympic education and held a dedication in the Olympic Games, during which everyone from them he spoke the Olympic oath, handed the participants bracelets with Ukrainian symbols.

Yuliya Hrushka, candidate of sports in rhythmic gymnastics, presented a demonstration performance to the participants.

Then all the participants of the event joined the “Ukrainian Ruhanka”, which was conducted by Svitlana Duditska. Also, under her leadership, they took part in relays, in which they had the opportunity to try their hand at sports and show speed, endurance, dexterity and team spirit.

At the end of the event, master of sports Andriy Slobozhaninov conducted a master class on orienteering for the participants, introduced them to the basics of this sport, taught the children how to use a map and navigate the terrain.

The participants of the event also had the opportunity to take part in a questionnaire on Olympic education and psychophysical training.
