All-Ukrainian scientific conference with international participation in Ternopil: innovation, partnership, and BASKETBALL-KTN

On October 23, Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University hosted an All-Ukrainian scientific conference with international participation entitled “Innovative Approaches to Physical Education and Sports for Schoolchildren and Students.”

The event brought together more than 150 participants from different parts of Ukraine and was timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine and the 76th anniversary of the Department of Physical Education and Rehabilitation of TNPU.

The conference became a powerful platform for discussing current challenges in physical education, presenting scientific research and practical developments, and strengthening inter-institutional cooperation between universities, scientific institutions, and public organizations.

Liliana GUTSYULIAK, representative of the public organization “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE,” gave a presentation on
“Integration of the Basketball-KTN digital platform into the process of training and educating young basketball players.”

The practical part of the conference took place in the university’s sports halls, where participants had the opportunity to take part in adaptive sports classes – volleyball, badminton, arm wrestling, and wrestling.

Lively discussions, exchange of experience and new ideas contributed to the expansion of scientific cooperation between various educational institutions in Ukraine. The event resulted in proposals for improving the content and methodology of physical education, as well as promoting sport as an important component of the harmonious development of young people.

The public organization “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE” presented letters of appreciation to:

  • Faculty of Physical Education of TNPU;
  • Andriy Ognystyy, and a letter of appreciation will also be sent to Natalia Osip, one of the organizers of the conference.

For the third consecutive year, the scientific forum has been co-organized by the public organization “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE,” which implements projects in the field of youth and sports co-financed by the European Union.

The head of the organization, candidate of sciences in physical education and sports, associate professor Yaroslav GALAN, noted the importance of partnership between the public sector and educational institutions:

“Cooperation with universities is a guarantee of high-quality training of future specialists, the formation of their professional competencies, and the dissemination of European values in the field of education and sports.”
