Webinar on the basics of web site development for children from different regions of Ukraine

On October 4, at the Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University at the Faculty of Physical Culture and Human Health, organized by the public organization YOUTH, was held. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE. The webinar was held as part of the Meet and Code initiative, which is implemented by the organizations SAP, Haus des Stiftens gGmbH, TechSoup Europe together with the network partner in Ukraine, the GURT Resource Center.

The event was held in a mixed format.

The webinar is aimed at web development of sites, mastering the basics of programming, creating sites, familiarization with theoretical and practical features in the process of web development of sites using the example of the site of the public organization “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE”.

At the beginning of the event, the head of the organization, candidate of sciences in physical education and sports, associate professor Yaroslav Galan told the participants about the importance of programming, which is an integral part of our modern life, and also noted that holding such events has a positive effect on the younger generation, contributes their comprehensive development, encourages them to acquire new skills, helps them acquire new knowledge and successfully use it in the future.

During the webinar, the participants received initial knowledge about web development of sites, their structure, important components of this process. Highly qualified specialists from the web studio “MAHO” were involved in the webinar, who familiarized the children with the basic and important concepts of web site development, presented the process of creating a site using the example of our public organization, and talked about the basic concepts of programming. In this way, the participants of the webinar had the opportunity to learn how to skillfully use the programming system and apply it, create modern sites and develop them in the future.

The children showed interest in this topic, actively cooperated with the lecturers and expressed a desire to continue their studies in this field of programming.

The event ended with the presentation of certificates, which testify to successful participation in the webinar. Also, all the participants were awarded with commemorative gifts from the organizers and partners of the event.
