A charity badminton event for children from different regions of Ukraine took place in Ternopil

On December 2, a charity badminton event was held for children from different regions of Ukraine on the basis of general secondary education institution No. 10 in Ternopil.

The charity event was held on the initiative of the public organization MOLOD. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE, Faculty of Physical Education of Ternopil National Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Hnatyuk and Local branch of “National Olympic Committee of Ukraine” in Ternopil region.

The purpose of the charity event was to introduce badminton, promote a healthy lifestyle, physical activity, moral education of children and formation of national and patriotic values.

The opening of the charitable event was attended by the dean of the Faculty of Physical Education of Ternopil National Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Hnatyuk, candidate of sciences in physical education and sports, associate professor Andrii Ognistiy, head of the public organization “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE”, head of the scientific project “Innovative model of implementation and formation of children’s patriotism by means of Olympic education”, candidate of sciences in physical education and sports, associate professor Yaroslav Galan, director of general secondary education institution No. 10, Ternopil Andriy Gazilyshyn, scholarship holder of the Local Center ” Oleksandr Khoma of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine” in the Ternopil region, and Stepan Bednarchuk, a Methodist teacher of the highest category, also joined the event.

The event began with a patriotic movement, after which moving relays with elements of badminton took place, in which Andriy Ognisty, Yaroslav Galan and interns of the Faculty of Physical Education participated.

Andriy Ognisty told the participants about the history of badminton, the basics of the game, the rules for performing certain exercises for children.

Yaroslav Galan told the children about the importance of physical culture and physical activity, patriotic values and their importance for our future.

At the end of the event, all participants received commemorative gifts from the public organization “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE” and the Local branch of the “National Olympic Committee of Ukraine” in the Ternopil region.
