Volunteers were selected in Chernivtsi to conduct activities for vulnerable groups of children.

On 8 April, our NGO YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT of Ukraine held an event aimed at uniting hearts and hands to support children from internally displaced persons and vulnerable groups. Our meeting on the topic: “Volunteer is a Child’s Friend ” opened a new chapter in our activities aimed at providing psychosocial support and facilitating children’s adaptation to new living conditions through sports and recreational activities.

Ambitious plans for the future were outlined during the event, including the introduction of an educational module aimed at improving the skills and involvement of young people in Volunteering. The expected results of this initiative were discussed, which should be a step towards creating a sustainable system of support for the target groups. The participants of the event, including the selection of volunteers, received not only valuable information but also irreplaceable experience that will help them to act effectively for the benefit of the community.

Yaroslav Galan, Chairman of the organization, PhD in Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor, shared his thoughts on the invaluable role of Volunteering: “Volunteering is not just about helping, it is a bridge that connects people’s hearts and gives them hope. We believe that through sports and active leisure, we can not only support vulnerable children but also help them feel part of our big family.”

Svitlana Duditskaya, Chairman of the Board of the organization, PhD in Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor, outlined the importance of volunteer support for children: “Every child deserves a happy childhood, safety, and understanding. Our volunteers are guardian angels who give not only their time and energy but also a piece of their hearts. We are planning a series of activities that will allow children not only to adapt to new conditions but also to develop, feeling needed and important.”

We sincerely believe that together, we can make a difference in the lives of children who are now in an extremely vulnerable situation. This is our chance to show the power of community and the importance of support.
