May 26, 2026 in Chernivtsi (Ukraine), at the “Kupol Yednannia” venue, a training session was held on the topic “Promoting Physical Activity Among Youth in Host Communities”, organized as part of the NUDGING2MOVE project (“Promoting active mobility and a healthy lifestyle to create healthier and more sustainable cities through “nudges”), which is co-funded by the European Union.

The event brought together representatives of schoolchildren, the youth sector, and local authorities to discuss pressing issues regarding support for children and youth, the development of a healthy lifestyle, and the creation of conditions for active leisure in communities. Participants paid particular attention to the concept of “nudges“ as an effective tool for encouraging children and youth toward a more active lifestyle. During the discussion, practical solutions and behavioral approaches were examined that help motivate young people toward physical activity, active mobility, community engagement, and the formation of healthy habits without the use of coercion or restrictions.

Natalia Frunze, Director of the Social Policy Department of the Chernivtsi City Council, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of cross-sectoral cooperation for the development of youth policy and the promotion of an active lifestyle among young people.

During the training, Olga Beshley, Ph.D. candidate in philology, associate professor, and project team member, presented information about the NUDGING2MOVE project, its main tasks, goals, and opportunities for communities. Project team member Olga Shchur also actively participated in the event, joining the discussion on practical approaches to engaging youth in physical activity.

The event was organized by the non-governmental organization “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORTS. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE“ in collaboration with the Family and Youth Affairs Office of the Social Policy Department of the Chernivtsi City Council.
