A sports and educational event for children from different regions of Ukraine dedicated to the International Children’s Day was held in Chernivtsi

On May 30, a sports and educational event for children from different regions of Ukraine dedicated to International Children’s Day was held at the Smerichka preschool educational institution No. 21.

The event was aimed at popularizing physical activity, healthy lifestyles, and social and psychological adaptation of children of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in modern conditions. The event was attended by Nadiya Shevchenko, Deputy Head of Educational and Extracurricular Work of Educational Institutions, Chernivtsi City Council Education Department, Lyubov Gavrilova, Head of the Preschool Education Department, and Sylvia Yakobchuk, Head of the kindergarten.

The event was organized by the public organization YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT of Ukraine, together with the Department of Education of the Chernivtsi City Council and the administration of the kindergarten.

The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine, followed by a movement with the flags of Ukraine and the European Union, which was conducted by the head of the NGO, PhD in Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor Yaroslav Galan, who emphasized the importance of increasing physical activity and forming a healthy lifestyle in modern conditions.

Yuriy Pavliuk, a member of the Kaputsyn club, demonstrated a karate performance under the guidance of Inna Zrybneva.

The event included an introduction to sports equipment of various sports and relay races, in which middle school children took part.

The culmination of the event was the creation of a heart-shaped picture in the colors of the Ukrainian national flag, where the children showed their creativity. Drawing as a psychological adaptation can play an important role in reducing stress and developing emotional stability in children.

At the end of the event, Nadiia Shevchenko made a speech emphasizing the importance of such events from kindergarten. The participants of the event received commemorative medals and sweet gifts.

The event was held within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation concluded between our NGO and the Department of Education of the Chernivtsi City Council, which emphasizes our joint commitment to the development of the educational environment in Chernivtsi.

The event was an important event that contributed to the development of physical activity and social and psychological adaptation of children, strengthening European values in their upbringing.
