A sports and educational event for children with special educational needs was held in Chernivtsi

Today, on May 8, Chernivtsi Regional Educational and Rehabilitation Center No. 1 hosted a sports and educational event for children with special educational needs. The event was organized by the public organization YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE together with the administration of the center.

The program included a variety of activities, such as coordination exercises, personal growth games, rehabilitation exercises, and drawing aimed at relieving stress.

The event was opened by Nadiya Mala, acting director, and Yulia Mykosianchyk, deputy director for educational work.

Yaroslav Galan, head of the NGO, PhD in Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor, emphasized the importance of sports and educational activities in developing resilience and mutual understanding among children and youth. He emphasized that such initiatives not only improve physical health but also contribute to social adaptation and leadership development.

Svitlana Duditska, board member of the organization, PhD in Physical Education and Sports, associate professor, led an activity that included the use of the symbols of Ukraine and the European Union, which emphasized unity. This activity not only raised the spirit of the participantsbut also helped to strengthen important national and European values.

Particular attention was paid to the Volunteer Leaders who played a key role in the preparation and implementation of the event, demonstrating high professionalism and dedication to working with vulnerable children. Thanks to their efforts, the event was held at a high level.

Under the leadership of Olena Platonova, a unique painting was created that reflected the collective spirit and optimism: each participant left a print of his or her palm on the canvas, painting it in yellow and blue.

This work of art not only decorates the space, but will also symbolize the unity of hearts and shared hopes for a better future.

Master of Sports Andriy Slobozhaninov conducted orienteering activities on the institution’s territory using maps, compasses, and checkpoints.

The event ended with the presentation of commemorative medals and sweet gifts from the Ciabatta confectionery, as well as a joint photo to remember this wonderful day.

Such events are important not only for the development of children but also for the whole society, as they strengthen the spirit and support in an environment where everyone needs attention and help.

The charity event was held within the framework of the project “Development of social and psychological strategies for the adaptation and integration of displaced children in host communities”, implemented by the Carpathian Foundation with the financial support of COFRA.
