Student leaders are being trained in Chernivtsi

On December 1, an orientation meeting and selection of 10 volunteer leaders from among the students of Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University took place in Chernivtsi.

As part of the event, the head of the public organization YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. THE HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE Yaroslav Galan spoke about the importance of social and psychological adaptation of forcibly displaced persons (children) to the educational process, a correct and healthy lifestyle, measures aimed at supporting displaced children, and also spoke about the activities of the public organization and the measures it implements .

Svitlana Duditska, a member of the board of the public organization, described the possibilities of professional growth of young leaders in the volunteer movement.

During the event, 10 volunteer leaders representing the Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University were selected, namely: “Physical culture and sports”, “Secondary education”, “Physical therapy and occupational therapy”, “Social psychology”. They will provide support for immigrant children, promote the principles of a healthy lifestyle and patriotism, participate in creating favorable conditions for social and psychological adaptation and conduct activities for children.

The project is carried out within the framework of the Carpathian Fund Program aimed at supporting sustainable services for IDPs with the financial support of COFRA.

The training of young volunteer leaders is important in today’s conditions, as displaced children need help and support in adapting to new living conditions, solving a significant number of physical and psychological problems that they encountered at this stage.

Also, innovative forms of charity events for migrant children were characterized as part of the scientific project “Innovative model of implementation and formation of children’s patriotism by means of Olympic education”.
