Kickoff meeting for “Shared Memories” in Iași (Romania)

On March 16–17 in Iași (Romania), the kick-off meeting was held as part of the project “Shared Memories: Learning from the Past to Build Europe’s Future,” co-funded by the European Union.

Partners from Portugal, Ukraine, Romania, Germany, and Spain gathered to discuss the project’s key objectives, agree on next steps, assign tasks, and develop a shared vision for future cooperation.

During the meeting, participants not only engaged in an active working discussion but also had the opportunity to exchange experiences, ideas, and practical approaches. This made the collaboration even more meaningful, valuable, and inspiring.

The project “Shared Memories: Learning from the Past to Build Europe’s Future” aims to preserve historical memory, promote intergenerational learning, and encourage civic engagement. Its goal is to collect and document the testimonies of older adults, explore young people’s perceptions of history, develop intergenerational game-based workshops, create open educational resources, and strengthen European values.

The kick-off meeting marked an important milestone in establishing effective communication, strengthening partnerships among participants, and laying the groundwork for future collaboration. Ahead lie the implementation of planned activities, new ideas, joint efforts, and initiatives that will help us better explore, reflect on, and reinterpret our shared memory in order to build Europe’s future.
