Sports and health event at the Oikos camp – for an active and healthy childhood

On June 23, at the Oikos camp of the Chernivtsi City Council, a sports and health event was held for schoolchildren from disadvantaged groups, organized jointly by the public organization “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORTS. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE” and the camp administration.

The aim of the event was to encourage children to engage in physical activity and promote a healthy lifestyle, various sports, and national and European values.

The head of the public organization, candidate of physical education and sports sciences, associate professor Yaroslav Galan, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of recreational and health events during children’s summer holidays. Such initiatives contribute to physical development, psychological relief, and the formation of value orientations.

The program included exercises with elements of health gymnastics, relays combining various types of sports games, badminton master classes, and talks about the benefits of sports and a healthy lifestyle.

At the end of the event, camp director Mykita Borovyk thanked the organizers and noted that active leisure is an important component of child development and harmonious upbringing.

All participants received commemorative medals and gifts from the organizers as an incentive for further physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.

The sports and health event was a great example of how cooperation, sports and a positive environment shape active, healthy, and conscious young people in Ukraine.
