Seminar “SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGICAL ADAPTATION OF IMMIGRANT CHILDREN USING PHYSICAL CULTURE AND SPORTS”.

On March 9, a seminar on the topic: “SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGICAL ADAPTATION OF IMMIGRANTE CHILDREN USING PHYSICAL CULTURE AND SPORTS” was held at the Pedagogical College of Chernivtsi National University named after Yury Fedkovich.

The seminar was held by the public organization YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTH MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE together with the physical culture department of the college.

Students of the fourth year of the specialty 017 “Physical culture and sport” took part in the seminar.

The purpose of the seminar is to highlight the issues of social and psychological adaptation of immigrant children, familiarization with the basic concepts of physical culture and sports, increasing motor activity and overall health.

At the beginning of the seminar, the deputy director for educational work of the college, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, specialist of the highest category, teacher-methodologist Myroslava Zhuk and head of the physical culture department Sevil Chubatenko gave a welcome speech to the participants. College teacher Tetyana Shinkar also took part in the event.

Yaroslav Galan, who spoke about the basic concepts of social and psychological adaptation of children (VPO), conducting and organizing various kinds of events aimed at supporting the psychological and physical health of children, training young volunteer leaders who will participate in the organization and implementation of events . He also outlined the activities of the public organization, talked about the measures that were implemented for migrant children and support for their livelihoods.

Member of the board of the organization, candidate of sciences in physical education and sports, associate professor Svitlana Duditska told the participants of the seminar about various types of physical culture and health work that should be used during the educational process and characterized the important influence of sports and health activities for the successful adaptation of immigrant children to new living conditions.

Lisa Morgoch, a student of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology and Social Work, Department of Practical Psychology, practical psychologist, spoke with the report “Social and psychological adaptation of children (IDPs) to new conditions in the educational process.”

All students participating in the seminar received certificates certifying their participation.

The seminar was held within the framework of the project “Social and psychological adaptation of forcibly displaced persons (children) to the educational process”, carried out by the Carpathian Foundation with the financial support of COFRA.
