Study tour to Slovakia and Hungary: exchange of experience and new partnerships

From April 7 to April 12, 2025, representatives of the public organization YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE – project manager Svitlana Duditska and administrative assistant Liliana Hutsuliak – took part in a study tour organized by the Carpathian Foundation. The program covered two countries – Hungary and Slovakia– and was extremely intense and informative.

During the trip, the participants had the opportunity to present our NGO and implemented projects, meet representatives of other public initiatives, exchange experiences, and develop new ideas for the development of local communities in Ukraine.

Especially valuable was the meeting with our mentor János Wagner, which gave a new impetus to strategic thinking in the field of public management.

The study tour program included a number of visits to leading cultural and community centers:

• Výmenníky Center in Košice,
• presentation of cultural spaces K13-Košice in Kasárne/Kulturpark,
• visit to the cultural and community center in Bardeyov,
• communication with the Bardejov Community Foundation,
• a meeting with the Cinefil public organization at Kino Úsmev,
• visit to the unique organization MagNet Bank,
• familiarization with the activities of PlayHUB – Partners Hungary Foundation.

This experience was not only a source of new knowledge, but also a platform for future cooperation. The participants of the trip saw effective models of interaction between civic initiatives, local communities, and cultural structures.
