A workshop for teachers was held in Bukovina as part of the Nudging2Move project
On February 16, a workshop for teachers was held at the Godyliv Secondary School (grades I-III) of the Velykokuchuriv Village Council in the Chernivtsi District of the Chernivtsi Region as part of the European Union project “Nudging2Move”, co-funded by the European Union, on the topic: “PROMOTING PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AMONG SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN IN THE CONTEXT OF MARTIAL LAW IN UKRAINE.”

The aim of the workshop was to raise awareness among teachers about the importance of physical activity for children in today’s world, discuss current challenges, and present effective practical cases and successful approaches to encouraging schoolchildren to lead an active lifestyle.

The participants of the event were teachers from the Velykokuchuriv Village Council with up to 5 years of work experience. The involvement of this particular category of specialists is especially valuable, as they are at the stage of professional development and are most open to the introduction of innovative approaches—the tools they receive will help them adapt more quickly to the profession and systematically integrate practices to increase physical activity into their daily work with students.
The head of the NGO “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTH OF UKRAINE”, candidate of sciences in physical education and sports Yaroslav Galan, emphasized the relevance of physical activity for schoolchildren during the period of martial law and presented effective methods and means that can be implemented in the educational process.
Social manager and candidate of philological sciences Olga Beshley presented the project and its practical component, based on the “6 Thinking Hats” methodology, which helped participants to consistently define goals, discuss approaches and features of super-minds, analyze their advantages and potential risks, form a general assessment, vote on decisions and summarize the results, as well as hold a discussion on possible implementation in the educational process and in the context of the community.

As part of the project, participants received informational materials, reflective bracelets, keychains with NFC tags linking to the project website, and the most active participants received commemorative awards.
All registered and attending participants will receive a personalized certificate for 4 academic hours (0.13 ECTS credits).
We express our sincere gratitude to the Velykokuchuriv Village Council, as well as the administration of the Godyliv Secondary School of General Education I-III for their fruitful cooperation and significant assistance in organizing and conducting this important event.

The event took place in a productive atmosphere: teaching staff actively participated in the discussion, offering their own ideas and practical ways to implement superheroes into the educational process of educational institutions and community life.
