A webinar for teachers was held in Bukovyna

On February 3, 2025, a webinar on “Social and Psychological Adaptation of Vulnerable Children in Modern Conditions” was held on the basis of the Velykokuchuriv Secondary School named after V. Buzenko, organized within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation between the Velykokuchuriv Rural Territorial Community and the NGO “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE”.

The purpose of the webinar was to raise awareness of teachers about effective strategies for social and psychological adaptation and integration of vulnerable children in modern realities.

The participants were welcomed by the acting director of the institution, Odarka Strutynska, and the chief specialist of the education department, Oksana Pylypko, who emphasized the relevance of this topic. They emphasized that in the context of the increased impact of stressful factors on children, educators should develop new approaches and mechanisms to help with social and psychological adaptation: introduce flexible support methods, integrate sports and creative exercises, and actively engage with students’ families to promote the emotional well-being and development of each child.

Yaroslav Galan, the head of the organization, PhD in Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor, made a presentation on the activities and projects that the NGO implements, as well as on the activities that have been successfully implemented in the community over the past two years. Such an information platform is important because it provides educators with new knowledge and practical tools that will contribute to the quality of support for children from vulnerable categories.

Svitlana Duditska, a member of the organization’s board, PhD in Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor, presented innovative forms of work that can be implemented in the educational process and also conducted creative correctional exercises to help teachers work with children.

The speech of Sofia Khristenko, a student of the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Rehabilitation, specialty “Physical Culture and Sports,” athlete of the Ukrainian national team and the university in volleyball, was particularly inspiring. She shared her own sporting journey, emphasized the motivational role of teachers, and spoke about her professional choice to become a coach, as this is how she can inspire other children to achieve sporting heights and foster self-confidence in them.

All participants of the webinar received memorable gifts from the public organization YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE, as well as certificates certifying their participation in the event.

The webinar also included an expert survey within the framework of the project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, “ACTIVE NATION: A MODERN MODEL FOR INCREASING THE LEVEL OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY OF SCHOOLCHILDREN AS A STRATEGIC ELEMENT OF THE STATE’S DEFENSE CAPABILITY.”

The event was held jointly with the Department of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of the Velykokuchuriv Village Council with the assistance of Vasyl Toderenchuk, the village head, and Liudmyla Nastasiichuk, head of the Education Department.

We hope that the knowledge and experience gained will help teachers interact more effectively with children and create a comfortable, educational environment for all participants in the educational process.
