International Cooperation in Action: Consortium Meeting of the “Nudging2Move” Project in Turkey

April 16–17, 2026, in Istanbul (Turkey), the third consortium meeting was held as part of the “Nudging2Move” project (Promoting Mobility and Active Lifestyles for Healthier and More Sustainable Cities through Nudging), co-funded by the European Union.

The event was organized by the project partner Kargenc Club (Turkey) and brought together representatives of the international consortium to discuss key results and next steps.

As part of the agenda, a general overview of the project was presented, and all work packages were reviewed in detail. Participants discussed the progress of planned activities, the monitoring of pilot initiatives, the development of behavioral tools (nudges), and strategies for disseminating results.

The NGO “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORTS. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE”, as a project partner, presented the results of implementation in Ukraine. In particular, the experience of conducting a workshop for educators at the Godiliv Secondary School of General Education, Grades I–III in the Velykokuchurivska Village Council of the Chernivtsi Region on the topic “PROMOTING PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AMONG SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN UNDER MARTIAL LAW IN UKRAINE.”

The presentation was delivered by the head of the NGO “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE,” PhD in Physical Education and Sport, Associate Professor Iaroslav Galan. He emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of physical activity among children and youth, as well as the implementation of European approaches in today’s challenging conditions.

Special attention was given to the activities carried out within the project, mechanisms for implementing behavioral tools nudge approaches, as well as the development of informational materials, reflective bracelets, and keychains with NFC tags containing links to the project website.

Participants reviewed practical case studies, tools for engaging children in an active lifestyle, and the results achieved through the project’s implementation at the local level.

During the meeting, partners agreed on next steps for implementing the Nudging2Move project and outlined shared priorities.

The Nudging2Move project once again confirms that the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and sustainable mobility is a shared European value.
