Carpathian Camp in Eger: Cross-border Youth Dialogue and New Partnerships

From 29 to 31 July 2025, our colleague Anastasia Komerzan represented the public organisation YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE at the summer camp of the Carpathian Platform of Civil Society in Eger, Hungary.

The event brought together youth organisations and civil society representatives from Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine with the aim of strengthening regional cooperation and promoting the active participation of young people in decision-making.

During the camp, participants:

• took part in interactive seminars on youth engagement;
• participated in panel discussions with partner organisations;
• took part in the ‘From Ideas to Action’ session on cross-border partnerships;
• attended the Social Innovation Award ceremony;
• discussed best practices at a round table based on the ‘Youth Bank’ model, and
• exchanged views on the present and future of civil society organisations in the Carpathians.

We are proud that our representative Anastasia Komerzan took part in this dialogue, shared her experience and established new connections that will contribute to further initiatives in Ukraine and beyond.
