Ukrainian Unity Day – Together for Active Youth (DP5YOU)

On January 22, on Ukrainian Unity Day, as part of the DP5YOU project co-funded by the European Union, we collaborated with the Department of Social Policy and the Office for Family and Youth Affairs of the Chernivtsi City Council and the Chernivtsi Youth Center “Youth Residence” municipal institution to hold a presentation on opportunities for active young people in Chernivtsi.

During the event, we talked about the opportunities and objectives of the project, communicated with young people, and used informal education methods that promote active engagement, open dialogue, and the development of critical thinking.

Natalia Sabadash, head of the Family and Youth Affairs Department of the Social Policy Department of the Chernivtsi City Council, outlined the key challenges facing young people in today’s world.

Tetiana Danska, Head of the National and Patriotic Education Department, spoke about the opportunities for young people offered by the Chernivtsi Youth Center “Youth Residence.”

Educational puzzles with European Union symbols, developed as part of the project, were presented separately. The interactive format aroused genuine interest and received very positive feedback from participants.

A training session was also held using educational cards dedicated to global challenges and problems of the modern world. Young people actively joined the discussion, shared their thoughts, and outlined the challenges and needs they face in their activities today.

In the context of power outages and the difficult realities in Ukraine, such meetings are extremely important—they support young people, motivate them to take action, and give them a sense of unity and development.

The presentation of the project’s opportunities was conducted by the head of the public organization, candidate of sciences in physical education and sports Yaroslav Galan, who spoke about the idea of the project, its initiatives, and planned activities. The organization’s administrative assistant, Liliana Hutsuliak, shared her own experience of participating in project activities and getting involved in various initiatives as a representative of active youth.

We sincerely thank our partners, young people, and everyone who joined the event.

Together, we are shaping a strong, active, and conscious youth in Ukraine.
