Charity chess master class for hearing impaired children

On October 27, a charity chess master class for hearing-impaired children was held.

The charity master class was held at the initiative of the public organization YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE and the assistance of the Chernivtsi Regional Educational and Rehabilitation Center No. 1.

The purpose of the charity master class was to get acquainted with chess, which contributes to the improvement of the general physical condition, as well as the education of national and patriotic values.

Multifaceted physical and intellectual education of the young generation plays an important role in today’s world and makes it possible to educate a conscious personality.

The event was attended by Acting director of the Chernivtsi regional educational and rehabilitation center No. 1 Olena Bichikova, deputy director for educational work Galina Derenkova, educators and teachers of the institution, representative of the law firm “Kutsak and Partners” Olga Havrelyuk, Svitlana Duditska and Andriy Slobozhaninov.

The solemn opening ceremony of the event began with a moment of silence for all fallen compatriots and the National Anthem of Ukraine.

At the beginning of the event, the participants were introduced to the history of chess as a sport and the rules of the game, after which the master class began as part of the scientific project “Innovative model of implementation and formation of children’s patriotism by means of Olympic education”.

Yaroslav Galan told the participants about the importance of chess for mental and physical development, talked about patriotic values and the positive impact of physical culture and sports on health and mental abilities.

Vasyl Manylyuk introduced the participants of the event to the rules of playing chess in the online mode, explained the main techniques of chess as a separate sport, and together with Yaroslav Galan and the children symbolically played chess, which caused pleasant emotions and impressions in the participants.

Students majoring in “Physical Culture and Sport” of Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University became active participants in the event as volunteers.
