“Olympic Quest” as a means of popularizing Olympic sports

“Olympic Quest” is developed in the form of a game aimed at children aged 5-12 years. 2-6 players can participate in this game. The main goal of the quest is to promote and shape the patriotic upbringing of the young generation, which is growing up, by means of Olympic education. Gra-Quest instills desire and love for a healthy lifestyle, Olympic movement, physical culture and sports.

The essence of the game is to choose only one of the hexagonal cards on which different Olympic sports are depicted (there are six of them); the cards on which the inventory is depicted must be shuffled and placed face down in the center of the table; each player, taking turns against the clock, must draw one card from the fair and see if the inventory matches their sport (if so, they keep the card, if not, they put it on the bottom).

In our opinion, the introduction of the “Olympic Quest” is an effective means of educating children, which will stimulate basic patriotic and humane values in them.

Therefore, innovative forms of Olympic education, in particular “Olympic Quest”, are one of the most effective elements of patriotic upbringing of children. Such innovative forms ensure the physical development of children, as well as the comprehensive education of their moral and willful national qualities, which contribute to the revival of national culture, form high patriotic qualities, in particular, love for the Motherland, pride in the possessions of the state and the nation in general, readiness to stand up with honor and dignity for honor of the country.

We offer the innovative game “Olympic Quest”, which will allow children to familiarize themselves with various sports and the territory of Ukraine, to form certain national civic values from a young age, which in the future will give children the opportunity to choose their favorite sport and achieve good results in it for the benefit of state.
